BEHAVIOURAL COUNSELLING
I like to see the dog in it’s own environment for a majority of problems as this enables me to see them going about their normal daily life. I will take initial details about the problem and take details about your dog in general looking at things such as exercise, diet, when the behaviour was first noticed etc. This initial visit will last around an hour and a half to two hours. I then usually make some initial recommendations as a starting point. This is then followed up by a full written report with my findings and any behaviour modification plans that are required.
GENERAL TRAINING
Very often when clients call, most of the problems they describe are more of a training nature. After an initial consultation I can prepare a personalised training plan for you to train your dog yourself.
Alternatively I can help you to train your dog on a one to one basis.
I can help you with everything from the very basic control exercises such as sit and stay to more advanced training such as retrieving. The common things that I deal with are dogs pulling on a lead, not coming when called, jumping up and lack of basic control.
As a well behaved, trained puppy makes a nice family pet I offer a special puppy training package which will look at all areas of puppy ownership. I will advise you on all aspects from development stages through to training and socialisation. This will include introduction to the family and other pets, crate training, and general care.
PUPPY MATCH
If you are thinking of acquiring a dog and are not sure of which breed would suit your lifestyle I can help you to narrow down your choices and if appropriate help you source your dog. Making the right choice now will help prevent potential mismatches later.
On top of this I can offer advice on all areas of general dog ownership or point you in the right direction if I do not know the answer.
